Oh, the BEANS! Every home needs an orange tabby!View attachment 4194889View attachment 4194890Happy meow meow Monday everyone! Apparently the CDS has determined our clowder to be too monochromatic and sent this guy to scream forlornly in my yard all weekend.
I have 3 and 2 are girls. All are siblings.Oh, the BEANS! Every home needs an orange tabby!
Fun fact - We've known for years that orange females are rare, but I only this week found out why. When a female kitten gets the "double orange" needed for the red coat, the gene usually mutates to calico. That also explains why male calicos are nearly non-existent and when they do occur, they're generally either sterile or don't survive kittenhood. I've always had a soft spot for gingers, so I found that fascinating!I have 3 and 2 are girls. All are siblings.
