Well, not really so odd... They are born with the capability to only lay so many eggs. Assuming they don't die from predator or health issues it's understandable that they laid what they were able to lay and that's it. Don't forget they are extremely prolific layers and at 350+ (the "+" being a big part of the equation here) eggs per year each one of these girls laid OVER 1,400 eggs in the first four years of life and lesser and lesser in the next few.
I love ducks for eggs but I also love them for their personalities. Can't wait for my 3 mo old newbies laying to kick in!
