Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

It looks like they all have pea combs and green legs so you may well get 4 green/blue eggs. I love my EEs and their pretty eggs.
I still can't tell a pea comb from a rose comb so thanks for the info!!! I learned something new

AND that will be awesome!

I ordered 3 EE pullets from Meyer. They weren't as pretty to begin with, but they are starting to developing interesting streaks of color on their faces. It's so fun to watch the EE's change! Can't wait to be able to post some pictures!
Please do... I'd love to see them!

I love my EEs. I had no idea they would change so much. My kids say my chickmunk one looks like a hawk. It has the most beautiful golden feathers laced with a deep brown. My little one who was almost solid yellow now has black head and neck and a golden brown partridge body. They are both pretty and lay mint blue/green eggs.

I am obsessed with the prospect of green or blue eggs! I am hoping to buy two Araucanas from a friend, if not maybe next year...

Araucanas lay the most beautiful blue eggs. Cream Legbars also lay beautiful blue eggs. I will probably get the Legbars because there is a good breeder close to here.

Here are my 2 Easter Egg chicks through the weeks:

Haddie 3 days

1 week old

3 weeks old

4 weeks old

6 weeks old

15 weeks old

Maddie 3 days old

1 week

3 weeks

5 weeks

6 weeks

15 weeks

It looks like they pretty much have their coloring by 6 weeks once all the new feathering comes in. Their feathering and coloring just seems to get more enhanced and detailed as they get older and they look the same now day by day, just bigger. The cheek puffs seem to be growing more too.

I do love my Easter Eggers!!!! I am excited about the blue eggs too, I hope they both give me blue or blue green eggs.

Integration update: My little ones (almost 5 weeks) were outside of their brooder roosting on a new roost that I put in last night and no one chased them back in the brooder!!! Yay!!! They no longer use the Brinsea EcoGlow, so I will be removing that today. They are still chased around some during the day, but they still have their hiding places. Pretty soon they'll be too big to fit into those hiding places.

They are also coming out a little to free range, but my SLW still decides that they are too small when she sees them and chases them back in the run which is fine with me since I do not want the hawks or owls flying away with them. Maybe the SLW, Nemo is actually mothering them and has decided they are not big enough yet? They are also coming out more with the big ones and being braver each day.

So hopefully this works out.

Sunni (my Buff Orpington chick) is starting to look more and more like a cockerel every day. I decided that I'm going to try keeping him. If it doesn't work out, I'll find him a new home. I at least want to try first :) I already have two RIR's and my oldest Rooster HATES other roosters. So we are going to be building a second coop for my youngest RIR and the new chicks. I am going to try raising Sunni with his sisters in the new coop with Rodney (my youngest RIR), and see how it goes. It should go pretty well because Rodney doesn't belong to a flock yet, so he doesn't feel dominate over anyone, which means he won't feel so protective over the new hens like my oldest RIR is. We'll see how it goes!

I'd love to keep Sunni because I have never owned a rooster that wasn't an RIR. I've owned 7 roosters in the last 3 years and they were all RIR's. I hope this works out! I've always loved how big and beautiful BO roosters are :D

Lynn- So glad it's working a bit better. Like so many things it probably just takes patience. Easy to say; hard to do.

Pipd- They are getting so big already! My one son wanted a Fayoumi but they weren't available. I will be interested in her personality when she's full grown to see if I'll get one another time. Are they good layers? Or more of a pet? And I should have gotten a brown or exchequer leghorn; I have no white egg layers!! I had a brown leghorn on my order but took it off for another RIR. For some reason I thought I should have a pair of most of my breeds.

ChickenMomma- You're so lucky you have the room to build another coop. We have an acre and would love more chickens but I think we're at our limit.
