Meyer hatchery reviews???

I can't blame you. Some how I was lucky with that as well , we had a warm spell for a few days that just so happen to be the days the chicks were scheduled to arrive. I have them now in the brooder that's in our basement.

they called today and said the brown leghorns had issues and so they couldn't ship
those. .. . so I opted for 4 white cochins instead of the leghorns. . .but shortly before
she hung up she said they'd arrive anytime between tomorrow and thursday. . .will
they be ok hatching today and not arriving until Thursday? Polk is only one state over,
maybe 8 hours?

I ordered some barred Plymouth rocks and Rhode Island Red chickens from them today. And in July I ordered some white leghorns and they all survived and they have been a good hatchery for me so far.

I received 15 chicks from Meyer in October. 2 had noticible problems from the moment I got them, and both died within 5 days. Another seemed a little off and stood out as a "runt" as time went on. That one died at about 5 weeks old. Lost one more to a coyote, but obviously that had nothing to do with the health of the birds. All of the others are doing well, except that we ended up with an extra rooster. Ordered 13 girls and 2 boys. After the deaths and the incorrect sexing, I now have 3 boys and only 8 girls. So 5 fewer layers than I had wanted, and a not-so-good rooster to hen ratio....poor girls. They are 21.5 weeks old now. No eggs yet.....anxiously waiting.

What kind did you get?

7 Dominique females ( 1 died day five, 1 died week five, one lost to a coyote)
2 Dominique males
3 Welsummer females
3 Delaware females (1 died day one, 1 turned out to be male)

I like all of the breeds I have, but the Welsummers are the most outgoing and talkative. The Delaware rooster is getting HUGE and recently started crowing, and the Dominique roosters are friendly and even let me hold them. I plan on ordering more of each this spring plus some other breeds, but not from Meyer. Haven't decided which hatchery to go with yet.
I'm learning that chicken math is a very real thing, lol!

I ordered 15 from Meyers and they were delivered the begining of Feb. I live in Northern VA and my babies were sent out on Monday and I got them Tues by noon!!! All 16 of my babies are 1 month old and growing strong and tall!!! I have one that looks to have cross beak (very mild) and I emailed meyers to let them know….they emailed me back and gave me a credit for the chick and told me to email or call any time if I have questions about how to care for her beak. I am very happy with this hatchery and will order from them again!
