I have been very polite and have reached out by email and phone call. I was being quite tolerant until they accused me of using a filter on the egg. They insist that it is the core t breed even though there is no crest. Which their description does not mat h what I have. I have sent numerous photos talked to numerous people and not only have I been made to feel that I am stupid but only trying to get money out of them! Last year 1 of my birds ended up being a cockerel and they credited my account asap ( just a 2 by k bird) I think the issue is that this is a $50 bird
I doubt that they will do anything for me.
X2 What is the old saying, you can draw more bees with honey than with vinegar. Something like that, but it is so very true. Good luck.Maybe not, but something like:
I love my (insert name of bird), she's active, a good bug catcher (etc, add in positive attributes). The description states "crested, floppy comb, and yellow legs" and unfortunately she is not crested, nor does she lay a blue egg. Aside from the blue egg, I was most looking forward to having a crested chicken.
Then you're giving your unemotional account of your experience with the bird they sent you- and if nothing else- anyone willing to spend $50 (I've looked at them several times) for those features will see your factual review. It might not get any positive action from the hatchery- but you'll have made sure to document what you got for the rest of us.
I had a poorly shipped hatch from MH. Someone on their end didn't activate the heat pack properly and I lost all but one of six. The last one cost me a small fortune in medications and two days off work. They offered to replace the chicks, but what I wanted was done for the season, so I would have to pay for shipping (the expensive part!) the next Spring. Nope. Not good enough! It took six weeks of persistent (daily,) strong-but-polite (not just e-mailing,) calling until they finally got tired of dealing with me and refunded all of my money - including shipping. I've never been back, since, and doubt I ever will.I doubt that they will do anything for me.
