I'm ordering my chicks soon and I wanted to order from Meyer hatchery because I've heard great things about them, but will it be OK for them to go from Ohio to Oregon? So, has anybody in OR ordered form Meyer hatchery and got they're chicks safely? I just want my chicks to be healthy, happy, and most importantly alive.
Just Wondering, is this the right place to put this thread?

Thank you.

They would most likely be fine, but I would try to find a closer hatchery that has what you want just to limit the stress in shipment.

I have bought from meyer the last 3 batches and had good sucess with them. Out of about 75 chicks I had 1 DOA.It take me 2 days to get them and I'm in Indianapolis, Indiana. They will hatch on Monday and I will get them about 6AM on Wendsday morning.

Their Barred Rocks are amazing chicks and by far my favorite from Meyer. They are really friendly and adventurous.

I wouldn't get their Silver Laced Wyandotte chicks. I have ordered on3 the past 2 batches and both have not had really even close markings to what it should be. I got a Gold Laced one this time that looks to be good.

I don't know wat kind of chicks you were wanting, but there is a hatchery http://farwesthatchery.com/ here in Oregon. I am ordering my Cornish X from them in a few weeks. Prices aren't bad and shipping is CHEAP. I looked at other hatcheries, but the shipping makesa big difference in price. We should also receive them FAST!

Crazy4Brahmas, I am from Myrtle Creek! Moved to Myrtle Point last year!
