what do you think happened,
I went out to lock chickens up tonight, and the australorp thats been nursing the nestbox for a couple of weeks but roosting with the others, is in the nest box tonight, she is fluffing, and her belly is plucked bare, and making noise, so i think i will give her a couple of days and see if she is going to be setting day and night and then set some eggs under her, what does everyone use to mark the eggs that they set. so i dont get them confused with the fresh eggs.
