    Maybe you did get lucky! My ee roo crowed young too about 3 months. Now he thinks he's a little stud. Although you can practically see the older girls roll their eyes at him when he struts for them. He sure tries to impress though.

    Fuzzy, you have to remember that comes from someone (me) who has had chickens in and out of the house all the time - also I am in and out of the henhouse quite frequently without washing my hands (what a bad example!!) and keep unwashed eggs on my kitchen counter. I think that you are unlikely to become ill from your own birds that you are around all the time, as you have been exposed to anything they carry no matter how many times you wash your hands. That is like worrying that kids put dirt into their mouths.
