My barn is still standing and believe me, I was worried too. That wind was something else last night with the strobe-lightning (not usually a good sign). My husband and I were downstairs listening to the weather radio around midnight when it started to get awfully loud. But no damage from what I can see from the house this morning. The roosters are all dry in their tractor even. The buff brahma says "wakey-wakey" by the way. He's just learning how to crow, silly boy. I love those funny crows.
I tossed some pasture mix into the sacrifice pen yesterday in anticipation of seed-drilling rain. If it sits on the surface, the chickens will eat it and it will never sprout. But my garden is all planted and the seeds already sprouted. They're now crusted with soil is all. It makes cleaning the lettuce all the more "fun".
Hopefully all those near Flint are in one piece.
