Anyone want to hazard a guess on if these chicks are boys or gals? They're only 3 weeks so it's still pretty early.

I think this was an EE from the pullet bin, not positive though.

No clue what this one is. It seems to have some feathers on its legs?

This one is my favorite. A lavender ameraucana with white wings! I will keep whether a hen or roo

This should be a partridge cochin

So, any guesses?!

Welcome rmattise! Glad you stopped by. Where in the southeast are you?

Just because we miss the old friends, doesn't mean we don't welcome the newcomers! With some of the oldies, there were a lot of fun bantering going on. Some really funny story telling. Teasing and the like. We hope the newbies will feel comfortable enough to hop right in and make yourself at home and fit yourself right in!! Don't be shy!! And if you someday leave this forum, you will be missed. Each and every one of you bring something special to this forum, to our discussions. You bring different ideas and insights. So, please, don't feel invisable. And, we hope you all can make it to CS and maybe make a connection to a new friend!
Thank you, chickflick, and thank you all for your welcoming words.

I'm looking forward to meeting more chicken people in the area, for sure.

I live about an hour north of Detroit, in White Lake.

Hello, all

I'm a poultry lover who's new to BYC but not new to chickens. I live in southeast Michigan, and figured I'd introduce myself.

Welcome Mattise

I pop in now and then. I miss the friends I have made here but I had to get away from the computer for a while and prioritize things. I still miss my chickens but I have a wonderful new grandson to enjoy.

Awww. HH- He's a cutie. You do realize he needs a stuffed chicken, though?

You and the surveillance van parked across the street.
WHAT? Have "the powers that be" decided that canaries are banned?

Earlier today I posted that sometimes we have to make our own good day. In that same vein, finding new people on the thread, pictures of chicks, and then a picture of a beautiful grandchild go a long way towards making a good day.

So welcome to all the new folks. This thread is populated by some wonderful people that have brightened many cold and gloomy days. I think that shared misery is a little less daunting.

Laura, what a handsome new grandson.
