Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

They are adding peacocks to the Calhoun county fair books I'm going to win I'm pretty sure I'm the only person probably. My friend is the leader of the poultry club we call her chicken tonya! We are babies hatch she said she was going to make a peacock class we thought she was joking!

I sent him off to a rehabilitation place in grand rapids, there were other doves there. I hope he was able to connect with one, little turd didn't want anything to do with the ones outside. I miss him dearly. If any of you are the rehabilitator, or know her thank you. I hope he is eating he always went off his feed when upset.? Also i thought he was 3 but he is actually 5. Not scared of cats, i have a very well behaved tabby and he used to fly down in front of his face! Cat would take off running fearing my wrath and i do think angel knew and it amused him.

Fuzzy, is he at Peg's on Union St? I don't know her, but we've met her a few times, thanks to the odd critter that limped into out lives. If that's where he is, he's in good hands. We don't live too far from there.
I've recommended this book before, and will again. Peg makes an appearance, and I think the story will speak to a lot of folks on here: https://www.kirkusreviews.com/book-reviews/bob-tarte/enslaved-by-ducks/

It is hard to beat Baffin boots for warmth. My BF got me a pair last winter and they are worth every penny - durable and warm even snowmobiling in subzero temps.

Thanks for the heads up.

It is awful but i can't remember. The officer told me the name but i was too distraught to remember. I thought about finding him and asking but i am afraid of my reactions if i could know; also we were fully bonded and doves will not rebond so long as their mate is alive. His only chance is for me to stay away and pray he rebonds with a female who will show him the ropes of how to live wild. I know there is limited number of avian rehabilitation permits issued, so i believe he is being handled with love and care :(

Muck boots. It's what I bought a couple years ago and even with the temps here dropping to way below freezing my feet stayed warm. Not the prettiest things out there, but I only paid 139 at Tractor Supply. I got the wetlander ones, they have the orange interior. Plus they're really waterproof.

I've looked at those and they are nice but don't come in my size. My dad has a pair and loves them.
On D.A.T. (day after turkey day) TSC has a special on muck boots for $50 but as a employee I'm not allowed to buy any sales until noon. Which sucks cause all the good stuff is gone by then.
