Hey, funny coincidence. We just got goats.
There, I said it.
Now we have a 2 year old nigerian dwarf doe in milk and an unrelated 10 week old doeling, and contrary to my previous concerns everything seems to be going great so far (knock on wood). The doe makes milk that tastes like ice cream although I'm pretty sure she's letting the doeling take half of it. Maybe later I'll go get pictures. Now I just have to send in the registration papers and fees. Milking isn't hard on my hands at all either, which makes me happiest of all. It's very tempting to find more mature does in milk so we can have more than 2 cups of ice cream flavored milk per day. Maybe I'll go out and photograph said goats to prove their existence even though this is BYC and not BYH.
