....and it's just weird that it's so freakin' warm out(49).
I'd sure rather have snow than ice.

Same here. I left the house and it was 52 degrees on my thermometer. As I drove to town the temp dropped and the fog rolled in. From town to work the fog grew as dense as a Stephen King novel.

Work was fun. Steady flow of "preppers" getting ready for the storm. People filling gas cans for generators, stocking up on beer, liquor and cigarettes. And lottery tickets

I drove home in a steady rain. At 2:30 am, the rain is heavy with a temperature of 40. The dirt roads look like twin rivers. If the temperature drops, it will be a frozen mess. Tomorrow should be interesting.

:gig
I had planned on grocery shopping today anyway,
hope there's some stuff(that I want) left.
The gas station was out of a lot of grocery stuff. Cereal was gone, ice cream freezer was hit hard. Bread almost gone. Didn't get a chance to really check the shelves. The main priority was keeping the beer stocked.

I imagine it will be the same or worse tonight.
The radio keeps announcing that "officials" are advising everyone to stay home.
Just a slight coating of white ice in my yard. The mailman delivered mail. Dogs were out for an hour and came in just a little damp. It doesn't look bad at all here. But I don't know what the rest of the area is like. I'll find out soon enough.

Pretty sure if I thought my power was going to go out I wouldn't be buying ice cream. Of course if the temperature drops enough, you could just leave it outside.
Exactly! But who wants to eat ice cream if it's that cold anyway?

Ice appears to have missed me, stayed east of here, whew!
