The coffee is on and I think there is still a couple of pieces of banana cake left or some Ghiradelli chocolate drop butter cookies.

Hunting is still a bust. The only deer I could have shot was standing broadside at 25 yards. I thought its body shape was a little blocky and a quick check with my scope confirmed it was a button buck. I told him to beat and go tell your father or mother I was mean to you.

Since this is the hunting season I feel like I should be posting pictures that meet the criteria of "brown is down".

Thanks for all the opinions on my Christmas chickens. I went with #1. What you all didn't see was the 50 pictures I went through to narrow it down to two.
So, Blackie Serema has laid an egg every other day since starting. I have not seen The Jerk do the roosterly deed, but I have caught Fibber Magee, the BL Polish, doing the roosterly deed... Oh, Jeez... So.. would they be poremas or serlish? HEHE. Anyway... The BL polish couple, Fibber Magee and Molly will be moving with in a few weeks on down to Albion to my friends. I will miss his wonderfully loud crow. The most awesome crow EVER! Did I mention it is loud?
So funny, When we talk about it here it's Rooster business. I love the Polish crows - but then we have too many crowing ones right now.

I am not liking the white stuff. DH got 16 hours of overtime this weekend. Lots of wrecks and ditch going cars. I find I am very nervous driving in the snow this year. If you remember it's been a year since I totaled my little Kia and this new vehicle I have not driven in any snow since last year was so snowless. I don't trust it yet and so I'm the slow driver that is so annoying right now.

I'm off to deal with health insurance changes at my DH's work this morning. I would so much rather be curled up warm at home, but.....

So hubby and I went to the St Nick's Warehouse on Sat to purchase a jewelry box for my mother for christmas ( we bought one at a street fair earlier this year from the vendor). I managed to twist my ankle pretty badly and it's still horribly tender this morning.

As the only female in the office, I've been designated as the official holiday decorator, so I have that project to keep me busy today.

Hi Laura!! Happy Anniversary!!! Hope you have many more!!

Elyssia001, Hope you feel better soon.

Had a great Thanksgiving. I'm exhausted, tho. It's been a very long busy week. With cleaning, and cooking and washind dishes, and cooking and washing dishes and cooking and washing dishes and having 4 grand kids Fri thu Sun.... man I just want to sleep for a week. I'm not in the holiday mood yet. Don't have my tree up or any thing yet. Usually I'm decorating every thing in sight. Oh well, maybe will have a very subdued Christmas this year.

The white stuff is still with us. Weatherman said it was suppose to all melt away yesterday. Well NOT!! How do the get paid for always being wrong???

Have a good day all!

Anyone interested in a Barred Frizzled Nacked Neck Green Egger???
He is real hansome!!! Follows me like a puppy!
He is a real big boy too!

If he wasn't a roo... I'd take him in a heart beat!! He's adorable!
Is mom2emall still around? I want to get some uggos hens next spring!! LOL, yeah I know... they'll all be roos, but I'll take my chances!!
Sam, I usually have good luck in muzzle and late doe as well. Last year I went all season seeing nothing.. and first day of late doe, I saw 2 nice bucks........go figure! LOL! I got a nice doe early in the season this year. It was probably one of the best seasons I've had in a few years. I saw a deer every day I was out, save for yesterday (all I saw was a fat possum). But I'll keep going out as much as I can. I had the mule (atv) at my dads this year, it was nice not working up a sweat going out to the stands, and sure made taking the deer and everyone out of the woods easier! Plus with my dad in his upper 70's...I'm doing all I can to keep him hunting!
I think we're going to try a last minute outside job, hopefully before the ground freezes. Adding a section of fence to the back yard to keep the livestock out of the back yard where we hope to put in a deck next year. Not looking forward to digging all those holes by hand.
I hope everyone had a fantabulous Thanksgiving - now on to Christmas!

Sorry you hurt your ankle, hope it gets better quickly!

I have to do the office decor at work as well.... always have someone complain about it. I have asked those of other faiths to help me, but I guess it's easier to complain. I'm so tempted to say tree decoration is a pagan ritual and I'm doing it all for myself....... but I'm sure that won't go over well either! LOL!

I think I got the only 2 hens that she ever produced. Now that they are done moulting I get an egg from each every day.
Get a spiral post hole digger...so much easier than the clam-shell type. I can drill through this blue clay in about 2 minutes. You can borrow mine if you need it.
I'll be glad when holiday season is over
