Hey everyone!

Enabler?!?!?!?!?! Every mom is a kind of enabler, Anyways, weird day today. I was cooking and had to go constantly because they decided to fly on top of the orange flimsy crap I have until run is complete. So I made them go inside. Not much of a fight today. However the seabrights were doing ok and behaving and it takes forever to get them in. Last night one flew on top of the coop. So I left them out for a few more minutes so I could finish in the kitchen. While eating noticed it was raining. They were soaked and did not give me much of a fight. Brought them in and got them dried. They stayed inside since the big ones have finally taken the loft.

@RaZ nice visitor. I can watch them for a while to see how they go about.
@1muttsfan I love to watch them do the crazy dead. They are walking fine and see the sun and just drop to the floor like if they had died, So cute and funny
@Sally PB Glad to know your babies are coming along.

Received pictures of Ross. I have to upload them into the computer. He is doing good. I miss that Dinosaur-Rex-Legs!

Good morning!
It's nice this morning, and another hot and humid day or more ahead. More rain would be nice, and then NOT 90F!
The chicks are growing, looking good except for one 'poor doer' whos' hanging in there, but not great. And of course a pullet!
I will have extra white Chantecler cockerels, overloaded this year.
Unexpected house guests this week! They left yesterday, a good visit, but six hours notice Monday was a suprise!!!
Yesterday we visited the Burgdorf Winery near Williamston, nearby, and haven't ever been there. Very very nice!!!

Mary - I drive by Burgdorf all the time but have never found time to stop. Now that Im fully vaccinated I am venturing back out so I will have to put it on my list!

also - I posted this in the Buy/Sell/Trade area but wanted to put it here too.
Murray McMurray sent me the wrong chick order and then sent me a replacement order so I am re-homing the wayward chicks. Hatch date week of May 17th. Making them 4 weeks old. In garage brooder, must take them all! Vaccinated for Mareks and coccidiosis.
Mix of breeds including Black Langshan, Easter Eggers, Blue Andalusians, Whiting True Blue, a Buff Brahma, A Buff Orpington, a Red star and a free surprise chick

Wish I could keep them but 12 unexpected extras is too many. Pictures are from first day (1 did not make it, 3 I decided to keep so thats 12 left!! ) - can provide updated pictures for friends. I want them to be well-loved. I cleaned SO MANY pasty butts for them to make it this far and they deserve a good life! Message me if it’s with you! If its someone local from BYC I wont charge anything. I think this weekend if they aren't spoken for I will put them up on Craigslist - although I dont know that I trust folks on there as much! Let me know if youre interested! Willing to meet within reason.

I also have 1 more Malay cockerel who needs a home.
2 have already gone with a breeder here in Michigan. I got 2 Malay pullets out of the trade.

Had another weird drop in temp this afternoon, no rain this time,
but 10° cooler for almost an hour was nice.
