What a terrible ordeal! I'm so sorry that happened to you. And I'm furious that the previous owners got away with that! So selfish and harmful!Yeah. Glad you are doing a bit better today. My immune system has been getting hit very hard for the last few years, and I’ve had some mass cell reactions inflammatory issues, struggled to heal etc. For just under two years my family and I lived in a mold infested house. We didn’t know it had mold until several months in during a very very heavy thunderstorm. There was a wayerfall coming through the master closet ceiling, and upon further investigation, we found that an entire cavity filled with mold had been covered and sealed off to hide it. We looked into going after the previous homeowners but after looking into it, figured it wouldn’t be worth it. We did major mold remediation and redid the whole room, but because we had already been exposed and the house had had mold in it, we still needed to move since it’s all been contaminated basically. We have had to throw out so nah things that were in our old house, and deep clean anything we keep. During the mold house the doc said I was like the “canary in the coal mine” basically saying my body is crashing before everyone else’s. It’s been rough, especially since I already have asthma, but we made it, God saw us through, and we finally found our real dream place after some patience. Now we are just trying to keep me healthy, I’m on an insane amount of supplements since my body is low on many things, but I’m slowly doing better.
Oh and I’m glad to have all the poor critters out of that high water table area too, it makes all 49 of them much happier.
Three Rivers area.Whereabouts are you, out of curiosity?
Woah!!! Great action shot!! I took my mare out for a ride yesterday since I’ve been doing a bit better and she was prancing around since she had so much energy. I think the wind gets em fired up. I took Misti for a gallop in the farm field beside the pasture and I looked over to find the herd keeping pace next to me. It was pretty cool. The horses were running around having a grand ol' time! I happened to catch Flicka up in the air! It makes it look like she's jumping the fence, but she's not.View attachment 3406653
Kathy sure was quite a story teller. Thanks for the update, Rose. I loved reading their thread - The Chickendad Chronicles. It was very sad when they had to give up their birds.
I'm going!I am planning on being there.Hope everyone can make it and would like some garden seeds and to learn and have fun.
