How do I stop my roosters foot from bleeding? I think it might be a blood feather. I’ve put pressure on it. It won’t stop bleeding. I have heard corn starch helps to stop bleeding, should I try it?

This has been an active morning for hawks here. At our front window, very near a hanging bird feeder, a Harrier, watching, and didn't get a songbird. then while I was outside in the back, a Red tailed hawk flying from over the coop towards the house, and reversed when she saw me. All the chickens are NOT outside, thanks to that Chantie hen who was killed not so long ago, likely by a hawk.
Chickens inside, you bet!

It can't hurt. What about pulling the feather out? Anyone know if that would help?
Pulling out the feather is the quickest way to stop it.
