Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

The ice is pretty crazy. The coop door was frozen shut so I had to literally kick it open. The horses fared well just a few icicles here and there. We lost power late last night finally after it flickered forever. Thankfully we have a nice generator set up so we still have everything. Everyone around us seems to have lost a lot of branches and trees, but thankfully only our willow dropped a little branch.

Good morning! It was very bad yesterday. I plowed the front to go to Muskegon and just down the street, I turned around and said, nope, not going anywhere, lol Just to think that it was so nice on Monday and Tuesday came and ruined everything, lol

So, I called Ann Arbor to re-schedule my ER follow up. They gave me February 28th. Hope I do not have to go to an ER near me. I do not trust anyone on this area. So, I was thinking to go today to Muskegon and for what I see, nope! Not even going to plow the front. I can stay home. There is nothing that I will have to need from outside, lol. So far I have not lost the power and I am glad because I am completely alone. Hub is in sunny Orlando since Tuesday. His parents were not feeling well. I will drive in March down and pick him up if I do not get the itch of just get him a ticket, lol. I have to bring some stuff to my sister, so more likely I will drive down. Hoping that I can get my lovely neighbor to come to check on them if I go. If anyone is driving out there, be safe!
Love you!

Seriously shows our weather lol Anyone who asks me what michigan weather is like my response is usually saying live all four seasons in a few days span and thats what you get XD

We don’t have power, but my dad is determined to get chicks today. A generator is powering our entire house and barn, and we have a few backup generators that can always be used, I just think it’s kind of hilarious that my dad Will not be persuaded to wait. He’s got chick fever and he won’t admit it. 😂 I’ve known the farm stores have had chicks since Monday, but since I had that crippled chick euthanased I haven’t had a NEED for chicks. Well I guess my dad is about to get some anyways. He’s a very determined man 😂
