There was an interesting article in today’s in National Post (Canadian news), entitled “Doctors call for ban of antibiotic use in farm animals as drug-resistant human infections hit ‘dangerous level’. This of course will directly affect the chicken farmers over there, as the article points out. The European Union has already banned prophylactic use of antibiotics in agriculture. I guess that would include the use of Terramycin in chickens. Hopefully Canada will not be that drastic and decide to restrict only antibiotics that are also used in humans.
I had my 30th birthday while there and went deep sea fishing with my brother and husband. We caught some nice size false albacore (sp?). On the way home I got to meet up with a couple fellow silkie breeders in Burlington,NC and picked up some nice blacks and a white pullet. I also found someone who has splash showgirls and picked up the only one she had left. It's a cute little thing
