What general area is your Michigan property? North, south, east or west? Just curious...
I'm in Midwest Michigan, but our "retirement property" also weekend and summer getaway is northwest lower peninsula.
Good Morning Everyone! Finally starting to get eggs again . . . This is 2 days take from about 23 mature hens (ages 7 months - almost 3 yrs) and 18 (or so, lol) pullets that have just started laying sporadically. I have 6 more Wellie pullets that should start in a couple more weeks (hopefully), though 1 surprised me and started laying at 20 weeks. And I finally found where my 2 Rouens hens have been laying - something got into their nest and ate most of the eggs. There were broken shells everwhere.
Hopefully a few of you are having better weather than my area is. The horseshoe fundraiser the rescue is holding in Davison isn't going to do so hot if this rain keeps up . . .
