Awwe. I want some bitty cochins! Any blues? I had one once but she went broody and did not take care and died. Sweetest thing. Stubborn![/quote

I got lot of chicks for sale
Blue, blk, & mottled cochins
Millie duccles chicks
White feather footed bantam chicks
Adult hens 1 millie duccle and 1 duccle/cochin
4 silkie chicks
7 adult silkie hens

(Still need a sweet wifey for my too-nice d'uccle roo)
I thought this was a dating site when I joined this thread. Hatch.com, I thought.

Boy, was I surprised!

I'm not sure how late in the spring it will be before I finish my coop. How late do local stores typically stock chicks, and what breeds are most commonly seen at places like TSC?

Otherwise i will have to order online, which is no big deal.

What are the most reliable / best quality chicken sites.?

I have looked at mypetchicken, but what do you guys recommend?

Chicks will be gone in the next few weeks at the farm stores. If you really don't care what you get, I'm sure you can find someone here to hatch a few. Some of us like to hatch!

x2 and don't forget there is usually a great selection at Chickenstock on June 21 of adult birds and chicks plus other goodies like yarn and plants.

And there is always craigslist. I'm picking up 5 today from a local farmer with a bunch of different breeds I'm looking for

I've finally decided to get started in the only livestock I can own on this property: rabbits. But it's been a HUGE pain trying to find someone within 4 hrs of me that breed American Chinchilla rabbits. If anyone here knows someone who breeds them, please let me know!

Raz, i get the feeling that us hens are more the spitfire type than the sweet... :p

I have a "raz" question: i have the idea of making a terrarium. Latest thing? I thought perhaps it would be nice. Buuut they usually call for sealing the container up afterwards? I don't know if it would be sustainable without direct sun
