I really don't want to take these two to freezer camp. They are turning out to be really good boys; but 3 boys & only 14 girls just isn't working out. Some of the poor girls are really getting beat up; & it's not all from molting

They were hatched by Maia on Mother's Day & are both BCM (mama) x EE....both are really pretty...and free to a good home....

Pigs to breed I'm guessing? Farmer Boy has the American Guinea Hogs which are a lard pig. I spoke to him about some for next spring. Just recently I saw an ad for Kune Kune pigs. The farm is about 30 minutes from here so I may go look at them. These are a small breed which is what I want. I won't be close to ready for them till spring though. I am leaning towards a docile breed that likes to stay put.

I have been looking at Kune Kune pigs too,.. but they are cost prohibitive. Yes we'll be breeding the little guys. If you do get some KK's let me know!

Speaking of cast iron...Does anyone have any tips for dealing with the small spots of rust on my cast iron wood burner? It is only on the top surface plate.

PS, I had the procedure at hospital today. All went well, I don't remember a thing about the actual procedure, but I quickly recovered.
And I walked! Take that, policy pushers!

Wonder if she's passed the bar to practice and can bring legal action?

Pretty well!

Hit garage sales when looking for cast iron cookware. It's amazing how many are sold because they are "too heavy". The very best are made by Griswald, followed by Wagner. Even some with no label can be good but only if the inside is very smooth. I buy any Griswald I encounter, even if they are rusty because the can be brought back to great working order.

Yep, at one time I had 5. All from yard sales. I gift them to folks who don't have one yet to try. Haven't had one returned.
Even though I can barely lift it,

(no strength in my hands) I keep and use mine. There is nothing like it.
