love the pooch TV......
GC has made the papers for a couple of different reasons this week. Perceived racial comments by the school superintendent and alleged sexual misconduct by former police.
Yet chickens remain a high profile "problem" in the city

Welcome to the Newbies!

...and sorry to those who have had losses in the past few weeks. It seems Facebook has been mirroring here with different illnesses and loss of pets. As if the snow wasn't bad enough! Geesh!

West Michigan has had continual snow all day today. Thankful that it was fluffy though so the snow-thrower could do its job. The wind was blowing all day from the South and was crowding out the girls in their run area (which is usually snow-free). They stayed outside all day until they had almost no-patch left.

-- so I stuffed both girls in the coop and turned on the lizard light (red bulb and only 40wt). I'm really hoping she dries out fast...I could tell she was cold because she wouldn't take her belly off the ground to eat the scratch I threw out! I don't want to lose my favorite girl!

About to build a nice fire in the wood-stove and find some way to stream the SuperBowl; I love not having TV, but its nice to be tuned in to what the world sees every now and then!

Have a great week, everyone! And Happy February!

Welcome. What did you order?

Hi BYC!
My name is Sarah, and I live in Montcalm County...I'm really excited for this spring! I've been working diligently on my Lavender Orpington line.

Welcome, there's lots of members not too far from you, so you're in the right place.

I too am without TV so I have no idea what is happening with the game.

The first go with the snow thrower was about 6 inches worth. Just in from doing another 4 or so. The parakeets were out all day but on the patio. Until I cleared the walk at dusk I think they were going to stay there. As it was, I had to carry 3 back to the aviary. Silly creatures.

We're pretty much in the middle of all this powdered sugar that came in... We've gotten over 12 inches... plus lots of drifting. Tomorrow's ride in to work is not going to be fun. They haven't cleared any of the roads.

Welcome to the new folks, hey check out the chicken stock threads under Raz's signature! Everyone on this thread is invited to join the fun.
