Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

morning everyone...its super cold out...didn't get any of that lovely snow....so I lucked out...Im glad that I didn't get any...that's for sure
You were lucky, I didn’t measure it but if I had to guess I would say between 14-16 inches for us. I did our driveway 4 times. The first time, I use a snow blower. Then I made the mistake of getting on a scale. So the second time I used a shovel. The third and fourth time I used the snow blower again.

neither am I. Oldest pushed all the snow right into my path to the coop. Um, Hello? I walk there. Sheesh.

Maybe he can do chicken chores for a few days, that ought to get the snow pile moved further down. LOL
Lol, ain't that the truth. I woke up to the coop door standing wide open. One of my adult daughter's lives in a studio apartment we have on our property and she volunteered to shut the coops down for me last night since I had fallen on the ice yesterday out by the coops and got hurt. I headed out there this morning not only is the coop door wide open but she never latched the pop door grr...

Hi everyone. A fellow Michiganian here, just beginning my chicken journey.
I've learned a lot already from this site and the forum. It's great to have a community like this.

So many newbies! Welcome!
I just got the incubator going. I'll have Tolbunt Polish and Jubilee Orpingtons for my birthday. Here we go again! I need some new layers, so I might hatch some mutts too.

My kids are off again today. Our back roads are in terrible shape. More snow tonight might mean another snow day. I just keep thinking about warmer days are getting closer.
