Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Had a little date night tonight with the girlfriend. got to talking about future chicken plans, and she stated that I should get some Brown chickens next year to add to my flock. going to have to think about what breed of brown chickens would work with my flock.

How brown? I'd get some German New Hampshire Heritage Breed birds. They are beautiful, docile, lay average brown eggs, and well, my favorite.

I have not been very social lately but I have been busy, lol! My son's wedding is Aug 15th and we finally got the lower level of the barn emptied, chased most of the mice out, and cleaned the floor. I still have a list that only Superman could complete but that's the way it goes. In a nutshell all of my critters are doing fine. I finally sold my last spring bunny to a cute couple - she had a FG buck pet that had died and got my last one - a buck! I think after the wedding I'll start messing things up again and do a flock of CCross for winter. What else?

Hopefully everyone is having a safe and enjoyable summer.

Here it is!!! THE LAST MOTHER LOVING BALE OF 2015!!

So glad that I have that done now for the summer!!
I wish! I still need to get at least 150 bales in the barn. I haul 50 at a time in my truck and did just that yesterday. Luckily I have an elevator to get it up in the second story! My secret weapon is a young lady that likes helping me:)

I will look into them. Its not like I have to rush into figuring out what we want to get next year.

Well, we've got lucky with our barn and realized with our barn that we could just bring in trucks, trailers, and wagons into the front of our barn and just unload to our hay loft. It also does help that both myself and my brother are rather tall and stout. as long as we got somebody up in the loft stacking, we can easily unload the wagon from there.
