Other than to top off the feeder for the girls tomorrow morning, I'm on vacation. Going to Chicago to do a little sightseeing there, and then there's a Thai Massage class I'm doing over the weekend in Evanston. Right now I'm trying to convince Amy to wear the shirt she had on for Chicken stock so we can take some cute couple photos there.

My Townline EEs have been very nice birds; I have four new pullets this summer, and am eager to see their first eggs too.
I agree, got 2 a couple years ago.
1 lays blue and under my Wellie cockbird got 3 nice OE's.
Got 6 this year but 1 died young (head stuck in mesh mess).....
......the remaining 5 are thriving and are of several different crosses.
We shall see! Just a few more months to wait..haha!

I can't wait till I have a broody! Its so adorable. :D

This morning I found I had my first internal pip! So excited! I would love to see Mama with babies, but I think I'd also miss the excitement of candling and watching the process.

that is awesome and scary at the same time, what do you do with a baby bat?

congrats on the first eggs, the green on the one is also cool, love those dark green eggs as much as the blue.
