Making the decision on who goes to freezer camp...

Mixed breeds: many EE with pea comb. Remainder are large combed mixed parentage with lovely colors including several white, red/gold, black/straw, white/black, tricolor, etc.

I have several lovely surplus roosters that would be a nice addition to a flock and don't deserve freezer camp.

So, this spring I'm getting chicks and I have been researching and finding all the information I can about chickens, and I had my heart set on EE's, but then I saw some bantam silkies and I was like,

I NEED THEM! But the only problem is, I dont think there is anyone near me that sells silkie chicks.... sooooo please give me any suggestions to where I could get silkie chicks! I live in around wayland dorr area.

Silkies are pretty, gentle little birds and great for broodies, but do not lay a whole lot of eggs, or very large ones. If you want eggs as well you might consider having some layers as well.

I drive all the way out to TSC and as I pull into the parking lot I realize that I left the 10% coupon at home. So I tried to sweet talk the clerk into letting me have it anyway. She wasn't having any of that nonsense. So I turned the on the Charm. Still no joy. Took Charm to the next level. All that got was that fish-eye look that women do so well. BUT! But it did get a second response. That response was "come back tomorrow with the coupon. I get off at 6:00 and you can take me out after".

I have a feeling that this could cost more than the 10% feed savings.
