Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Glad we got some snow before the ice, at least that gave some traction. Roads were slushy and crusty. A few cars were in the ditches on I-94 near Ann Arbor.

Drive safe if you have to get out, I'm sure the back country roads are slick!

I finally found a big, small animal cage for the rats.... and negotiated down to a good price! Now I just hope he doesn't sell it out from under me! I'm having a friend who works in KZoo go pick it up for me.

Well that was disappointing. You call that a snow storm? I get bigger drifts of dandruff.

Still, I had some fun. Plowed both driveways, the road out front and a neighbor. Any time that I get to play on the tractor is fun.
There was only an inch or so of snow but under it is nothing but ice. Tire chains and nose weights would have made climbing the hills a little easier. I'll have to put those items on my wish list. :D

Luckily most of this melted off and the rest was easy, and kind of fun, to knock off....

.....before the snow started, don't think it will amount to much.
Wind isn't bad yet.

I think the worst part will be driving after all the water freezes. And the ice on the electric lines.

I spent some time in MO and they had ice storms in which everything was coated with a sheath of ice. It was famous for taking out the electric lines...they would break or be drug down from the weight.

Large like 57g or 2oz 'Large'?
Already, like only after a week?! What breed?
Grats!!
I just eye-balled them. I need a battery for my scale. At this point, I'm just happy to be getting eggs. I had a few small ones and a wind egg last week. Right now, these eggs are just for me.
I have 14 BSL and half are squatting. Six Wyandottes don't seem to ready yet.

In any case, I'm extremely happy to be getting eggs again.
