Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

My knee replacement did not go too well... I have to have my knee manipulated because of scar tissue is making my knee very stiff. So frustrated. Thought I'd be out and being normal, instead will have to start all over with PT.

AhCrap!
More surgery?
My brother had a partial knee replacement, it got infected and they had to take it out and do a full replacement a year later.

I too am facing some 'minor' surgery, excision of a 'suspicious spot',
but may portend the beginning of the end. Worst part is, no support.

Rose, that's too bad! Sorry you have to go through more treatment.

Aart, if only I could be there in person. Hopefully our moral support will help. Feel free to cry on our shoulders any time you need to, I've never had a lot of use for the whole stiff-upper-lip thing

Thanks.
Karma... for living in stubbornly independent isolation most my life, now no close community and I hate to ask for help. This event may change all that, starting with a ride to/from the general anesthesia surgery. Have avoided the 'medical merry-go-round' for a decade, now it's caught up to me. Hoping for a short ride. :fl

That sounds familiar.
Thanks to this chicken thread I have met some wonderful people. Two of whom have been kind enough to transport me to a couple of different surgeries and even stayed while I was being worked on. Wendy B even stayed for the entire 16 hours of open-heart.

Don't feel bad asking for help. There might be someone nearby who can help in person. You can always count on moral support at the least.

Uh oh!
That makes me nervous. I have to see the knee doc myself next week. What he did in spring just seems to have made it worse.
Also seeing a new hand doc about this damn trigger finger issue. It has now spread to 3 fingers on my right hand. That's the hand that had the wrist bones removed. The space is now filled with scar tissue.
Hopefully your PT will help you get your mobility back.

I thought so ;)

There are one or two, and I will avail of them...it's still hard. I'm not one to whine much, it can spiral into a deep hole, but geeezzz....the dog, the pending surgery, and another tooth out tomorrow.
