Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I loved the warm weather yesterday! Chickens loved it more! lol I cleaned out the coop. Vacuumed the cobwebs and put down new shavings. Run got raked and de-pooped. Some weeds pulled and cut the dead flowers down. Several hours out in the sun. But body is feeling it today.
It was wonderful!
Got my grapevine pruned.

Raz - congrats on the new job. Store defective person? Right up your alley!!

I'm still looking, but have to admit I have enjoyed having some time off. I was traveling so much that I had a ton of things to get caught up on. I am looking for something with less travel for now. Even considering looking for something different, just don't know what or where. We are ok for now, but I hope to have a job in the next month or two. I really would love to take the summer off, but I think that would look bad being off work that long. It sure would be nice to have a veggie garden again.

I'll be starting as a stock boy in receiving. Finally putting those college degrees to work.

I did a lot of travelling back in the day. All of the North American truck plants, plus Canada and Mexico. I learned that no matter what job you have, the company will drop you in a heartbeat

Orientation is this afternoon. I hope I'm not starting in a hole. All of the employee information is on the internet and the temporary log in / password is invalid. I have 11 forms to fill out. Remember when they said computers would make things faster and more efficient?

Indeed. The weather was great yesterday. Too bad I had to work at the gas station. Today is nice too but windy. Supposed to rain tonight and in to Tuesday with snow predicted for Wednesday. It's still March ... in Michigan ...:th

Yesterday was beautiful! We got the worst half of the coop cleaned out, floor powdered, and everything sprayed, including the birds. Fun! Today I hope to finish the coop cleanout, or at least another section, so I can spray that area too.
Hate those mites!
I'm itching to get into the garden, but not yet.
Anyone want lilacs? I have SO MANY young plants that need to be moved! Several named varieties, come and get them!

Do you have any white ones? I would love some of those, but otherwise, I have a lot of purple ones :)
By the way, here is the schedule for the TSC Owosso animal swaps in case anyone is interested:

Orientation went well today. About half the time was dealing with IT issues and getting us peons in the system. I have to admit that I really like the way this company is established. I'm looking forward to the real start date.

Just have to survive the next few weeks. At least we were paid for today. Payday is next week but then a 2 week gap before the job really starts. I'm resigning the gas station job tomorrow. Remind me to request the date for CS20.
