I'm going to guess that any live birds are going to be off the table for any gatherings this year. It seems very likely that the state will ban any types of get togethers, shows, etc involving birds. Might just have to be a people get together.

Randy, do you have a sled? I haul feed, etc on a sled so at least you can see where you are going and have your balance. A bit of a warm up for next week so hopefully it will take care of your ice rink

No sled. I use the tractor for firewood. One scoop load fills one L-cart. And I can lift the bucket up to the porch level. That way I am not climbing steps with an arm load of wood.
The problem right now is the thick ice under the snow and all of the land being so uneven.

I'm going to try to get some wood in today. If the ground is better that is.

I have something like that for my dog walking shoes. Even with them, it can be treacherous!

Re: Chicken Stock... I wouldn't be surprised if there is a ban on live bird shows/swaps/etc. But I still want to get together!

Who? Me? No. I saw something at Meijer a week or so ago but forgot to look after work. I'm driving all that way just to look. It can wait until my next work day.

I used to have a pair of boots that I had ice-racing screws on the bottom. I might have lost them in the move. I can't remember when I last saw them. I think I might go tinker in the garage and try to whip something up.

Sure is pretty here today. So sunny out but pretty windy. It was 10 at 4:30am and is up to 26 now. The wind chill is 18. Supposed to get windier at the day goes on.

So I went out this morning to start the tractor and bring in some firewood. I opened the garage door and saw that someone had backed up the driveway and stole a freezer that I had promised to a friend. Fresh tracks in the snow that weren't there yesterday. It had to have happened early in the morning.
I filed a report with the sheriff. A deputy came out, gathered some evidence from the scene and was going to canvass the area for further information. I have a pretty good idea who took it but I don't know his name or where he lives. But I've seen him before on the weekends.

It just POs me that people seem to think that they can come on my property anytime they like.

I posted the incident on the local FB page for this area. Lots of folks are pretty concerned. This Township has a year-round population of 657 people. Lots more people have summer places and this has them worried. A few have asked me to check on their places. I checked on a few after the sheriff left.
