Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I got the shower curtains up around the run. What a PITA that is. So one of my projects next year will be to build panels. So much easier to install!

Or, I could have DH help... it would have been much better to have someone inside the run to hook up the zip ties. But he was occupied elsewhere.

I put the heated water bowl out this morning. I didn't hook it up to the extension cord; I need to zip tie the cord into the proprer position. The jug of water left in the run over night didn't freeze, so I think I don't need the heated bowl just yet.
If you have a pair of hemostats in your first aid kit, that helps a lot with zip ties!

It is indeed, but I made a hook that works pretty good.
Just bent a 6" long wire(~1/16" dia) into a hook smaller than 1/2" on one end and a bigger bend on the other for my hand and to hang up on the mesh between uses.
Works pretty darn good.

I just wish I had a camera on me when the girls encountered snow for the first time.

come busting out of door like normal
fly down to ground
feet touch snow
bounce up, land again, cock your head and stare at ground, while picking up one foot
look up at hooman, peck at snow, start pawing at beak and wiping it on ground, get more snow on beak......

Yeh, I wish I had a camera this morning...

Those would be handy for a lot of things. I need to get a pair.
She is taking me to see "After Death". It's a near-death documentary
I would love to see that. Please let us know what you think.

Thought about going to get a crochet hook, but then I'd have to remember where I put all my crochet hooks.

Good thought. @RaZ you need guineas! They eat ticks, forage, interesting critters. Let me know...

No.
I.
Don't.

What I need is motivation. Motivation to get out in the cold to cut and split more wood. I've had a fire every night this week and the wood pile is getting low.
What I need is organizational skills. I have to finish getting the garage in shape so both cars and tractor can go in before the weather gets bad (badder).
What I need is a beer. That's something that I CAN do. :thumbsup

I had an appointment on Halloween at the pain clinic. It's south of here about 30 miles. On the way home is snowed like crazy. Snow was sticking to the road and the trees. It was pretty but too #$%^& early. At home, up here by the lake there was nothing. I have a feeling that it is going to be a strange winter.
