Hi All!!
All of our chickens enjoyed the nice weather yesterday too. They were all out and about.
This morning we awoke to fierce wind and then no power!!! Thank God for candles, oil lamps, and generators!!! Our power is back now and we have limbs all over our yard!!! It will keep me in shape just picking it all up.
We opened the door to the chickens, they peeked their head out and turned around and went right back in. Smart birds!!!
Have a wonderful day everyone!!! Myrna

The wind is terrible here too. It kept waking me up last night. We no longer have a trampoline, it is lots of little pieces behind the barn, at least it didn't get on the rail road tracks.(we live right next to them) Jon hasn't looked close enough to see if it is weldable.
All the big plastic toys are flipped over too. The tarp is distroyed on our meat bird cage, its a flapping in the wind.

A lot of our "lakes" in our yard have disappeared, luckily.

South of I-96 along D-19 has no power. Hubby took the tractor to Pardiac Shell on D-19 to run the generators to they can run the coolers and sell gas. Glad to be able to help a friend.

Opa to you have power? I guess if you don't you won't reply until you do!LOL

We had our last party yesterday. My cousin went into rehab yesterday, her folks put her on a plane to Conneciut before coming here. My aunt was a wreck. It is the best thing for her.

My brother left his wife and kids (3 1/2 and 2 years old) Christmas evening. He wanted them to have a good Christmas then be done. We knew nothing was wrong, it was a bombshell to me when I called their house on Saturday and my SIL filled me in. My brother is very self centered...he still talks about wanting to be an only child(he is the oldest of 4 kids).

He is living with my folks for now. At our party, which my brother hadn't told anyone and acted all fine. Just told everyone that the wife and kids were at home...which was true...

I went over to be with my SIL after the party, she is a wreck. I cannot compherhand what she is going through, since July.
We went to dinner and a movie last night, we saw Yes Man. It was funny.

Pray that my brother will have a change of heart...seems like after 14 years of marriage, you would be able to talk to your spouse when you aren't happy...

Anyways, Jack (4) is calling. He needs help restarting his Cars Wii game. The wii is fun, a lot of sore arms around here!

Sarah

We haven't blown away yet but for a while it felt like we could. The wind has lessen some now, so I think we are okay. Lights flickered a couple of times but we didn't lose power. Sarah, sorry about your brother's actions. Some people never realize how much their actions impact the lives of others. Hopefully he will grow up and take on his responsibilities. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi everyone, I have 2 ducks I'm looking to rehome. They are both males, their white and very sweet. I got 4 from Miss Jayne and 3 are drakes. They are 4 months old now, so I have got to rehome 2 of the boys now! If anyone is interested please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks!!

Sitting here watching Sesame Street with a granddaughter and the cable automatically switches to The Weather Channel to advise of a strong wind advisory. I guess the girls are going to have to hang on tight again today. Sure is pretty outside today. Except for the fact that the snow hides all of the canine "presents" I don't miss the snow. One of my four ameraucanas started laying blue eggs and yesterday another laid my first green egg. Since my name is Sam, as soon as I have a couple of more green eggs and with the ham left from Xmas it sounds like I'll have the makings of a perfect Dr Suess meal.

Too funny on the green eggs and ham!

When the kids were all in preschool we took a dozen green eggs for the class to see. They used them then put food coloring in them...

It is cold and the wind seems to be picking up some.

I get to go to church and chapornne (sp) the middle school youth groups new years eve eve eve party...from 6-10pm, so the old folk can get to bed at a decent hour!

Even with all the wild wind today, all my chickens loved being out in the sun. They stayed out all day again today. I don't look forward to shoveling snow again, I know it coming. Maybe I should start my count down to spring.

Yeah, my chickens were so happy to be out in the sun today....that is until the wind kicked up again and the clouds moved in. 2-4 inches of snow expected tomorrow. Uggggh! Guess I'll get to try out my new power shovel out soon. you all don't blow away! Hang on tight.
