OHMYGOSH! I love lobster! So does my daughter and my mom! I guess I better bring all my egg sales profit with me. If I don't spend it all on chickens I can have some lobster bites.....

I'm drooling just thinking about it

TSC now carries a 3 gallon waterer with a built in heater. I used two of them last winter and they worked very well.

Larry you have reason to be proud. I know I sure was when mine went in 20 years ago.

I used to write long letters to my sons and they both said how much they enjoyed and appreciated them. They would up have to read their letters aloud to they fellow soldiers who enjoyed the connection to home. I remember when I was in that phone calls were nice but letter were much better.

Everyone I have talked to that has/had sons or daughters in the service said the same thing. Write every day if possible. It's amazing that I have no trouble typing (if I handwrote it he would never be able to read it

) a full page to him without even thinking about it. It's vet theraputic for me it seems. You know how us men are......it's hard to express our feelings in person but somehow its easier in a letter.

OK. I'm off to TSC for some chicken food and one of those heated waterers.

Have a good weekend everyone and thanks again for the words of encouragement.

I have two of them in the basement. I switched to heated dog bowls because I could not master "the flip'. Was fed up with the 3 gallon water bomb exploding in my hands and doosing me in subzero weather.
I thought that I might retry them this winter. Glutton for punishment

Well, Opa told me to not fill it up too high (I fill it no more than half full.) Also, put it together, fill it, and put on hand on the bottem and one on top and flip it fast. I usually flip it by grabbing the outlet attachment and flipping. I have not dumped it since.

i TOTALLY remember last winter when you were so frustrated with that! it was hilarious. you were all like, "How do i flip this thing without it exploding all over the place!!!"
