Ahhhh Sarah that is horrible

I'm so sorry for you and Rachel. I had a horrible dream last night about something getting in and mutilating all my chicken-children. When I woke up I was hoping it wasn't a portent of the future.

Awww Sarah, that poor kid. Tell Rachel to hang in there. As Opa basically said to me, things like this do happen and we just have to keep our chin up and plug along.

I lost 13 a month ago same way, and it poop'd in the nest box too. But the poop was a coon not a mink or weasle.

Sarah, tell Rachael I'm sorry about her birds and that once the nice weather returns in eary spring I will be placing the blue orpington bantams in a pen by themselves and she can have the first eggs.

Varmit report:

something dug into the coop last night and dug inside the coop. Rachel let the hens have the whole building instead of being confined. All are alive and well. Nothing in the leg trap. Leg trap is getting set where it dug in last night.

I hope everyone is having a GREAT Friday!!

I got to have coffee with my Mom this morning!

I love that she is retired (on her own choice, not layed off) We have been spending lots of time together and I love it. She doesn't even seem to mind all the little ones running around while we visit.

Sarah, hopefully you catch that nasty critter.
