Hi All. Thanks to everyone who sent a welcome. Hi to the new folks. Glad to have you aboard. Just got back from 5 days in northern Illinois and that is about all I can take over there. Traffic around the city was light both ways so that helped. Much more hectic traffic and much faster pace of life over there. Worth it to spend time with my nephew, his wife and their 4 year old daughter. They actually have more snow there than I do here. How's that for a real switcheroo.

Had a Great Christmass and I hope everyone here did as well. Looking forward to 2010.

Just sitting here cheering on my Mille Cochin eggs in the 'bator. C'mon kids!

Grandkids are coming today to go sledding in Corunna. Hot Chocolate is brewing, spaghetti sauce on the stove for dinner. Don't know why we are bothering to clean house—it's gonna be a wreck in a couple hours.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Good morning
Crystal enjoy that nice weather!

Does anyone want a pencil neck racer duck? My BIL that lives in Harrison MI has one that he wants to find a good home or good oven for. It is a healthy 2 year old male that keeps wanting to breed with the geese even though there are other ducks there.

If anyone is interested please pm me and we will hopefully get something set up for this confused guy.

Hi all,

Not to change the subject...well I am. We took down the Christmas Tree and thought that the chickens might love to play in it for awhile. Would it do any harm to put it in their run???

Thanks much
Terri

Good morning Cruizer, Don't worry about changing subjects here.

I think it would be ok for your chickens, they would probably love it! Of course make sure there is no tinsle in the tree, i am sure you thought about that.

Good morning sitting in the woods but David did manage to take a large doe so that made the cold worthwhile. Hopefully he can get a couple of more before the season ends. That brings our total for the year to eight but I can never have enough venison.

We have only seen two does and two fawns around here and DH said now one of the does is gone, he thinks someone shot it. I think he just doesn't want to take the other one since there doesn't seem to be very many around here. We used to see thirty or so at a time right in our driveway. Not anymore though.

All you hunters need to do is go east of Lapeer on I-69, and the deer will jump right in front of you. I counted five suicidal deer in a 5 mile stretch yesterday. All the deer up north have gone south for the winter, I think. We have lots of them in Shiawassee County.

Thanks I had a very pleasant time but it is good to be home with all my "STUFF". That is one thing I don't like about traveling... There is always something I don't have.
