KrisRose, I LOVE splash coloring! I hatched out 8 B/B/S Jerseys: 4 blue, 3 black, and a splash. Was SO hoping the splash was a cockerel, but it's a pullet. She's REAL pretty...I'll try to get a pic & post tomorrow!

I'll be keeping a blue, and hatching out the splash's eggs this summer. My hope was for a blue/splash jersey pen.

I've got some Jersey crosses, and they are really nice birds; excellent layers (I've got one that has laid pretty much all through winter) and laid back. That's why I wanted the purebreds. That, and I love big chickens!

I would also like dark egg layers like Marans or Welsummers. I really got to get Handy Dick motivated to build me another coop.

KrisRose, I'll be hatching more Jerseys this summer - my splahs girl mated to a blue boy should be 50/50 blue and splash; so, you can have a pullet if I get a couple!

I'll also be hatching more french copper black marans; those are trickier to hatch I'm finding out, but if I have extra pullets, I could part with a few.

My wife told me my hair was getting shabby and I needed a haircut/beard/mustache. I don't care for a beard, but she likes it, so....I wear one. But it has to be trimmed tight to the face. I keep telling her that it is getting so grey if I got rid of it she would have a younger man.

Old style barber shop here in town, he does a nice job and it only costs $9.00 I let my wife cut my hair once, years ago......only once. So I got "spiffied up", sad thing is, now I feel colder.

Bagels huh? I like a cream cheese bagel with coffee in the morning. Hope they turn out.

I think men are handsome in beards too! Painfully handsome. As in a thousand needles being stuck in yer face at once. You almost gotta have skin made out of tire rubber to kiss a man with a beard!
