Good morning to you all too. looks like a beautiful day in Michigan. Frustration.... Coop still not finished... and I don't know how I will. My son is going to help me.. but I am the type... it has to be done now...

I need to calm down a bit... things will work out. I just hope the chickens hold off on laying their first egg until I can get the coop finished inside for winter. Wish I had some support from the hubby... Oh well,

Got to get started this morning... shower... then chores. Good day all!!

There is one section devoted to birds for sale and I would plan on being there when they open the door if you think you might want to buy any birds.

Doesn't John Blehm bring chickens to Fowlfest? I wish beyond wishes that I could squeeze a few of his birds into the coop without my husband noticing (until he saw the blue eggs!)

I hope everyone enjoys this beautiful sunny day as we move into the cooler days of Fall and, for me, WORK.

What day should I be there to buy them...the first day? or Sunday?

I would be there no later than 9am on Saturday morning if I wanted to get birds. Go thru the entrance all the way to the back on the left side. Don't waste time looking at the show birds until you've looked at what is for sale.

Hey Gang - It's Huston's NON PRODUCTIVE Happy Hens here - I have some SLW's that were born on 2/4 that are still not laying...can't find reliable info on WHEN they should begin....input from anyone with experience would be appreciated!

Got up at 5am and nuked some cold coffee. Read several of the posts on other threads, nuked a second cup. Worked the crossword puzzle and decided that I need to go brew a fresh pot. Microwaved coffee just doesn't cut it.

Now that's more like it. Anyone need a cup?

My chicken coops and runs are starting to look like a pillow exploded. The girls are all starting to undergo a molt and the last two or three days their egg production has dropped off. I've gotten 10 eggs per day for several days now. All of this years birds are now 20 weeks so sometime in the next month or two they should start.

Good morning all, Opa and Brianna are sure right... the coffee does taste especially good this morning... I always get the last two cups from the pot I make for my hubbys thermos... It is suppose to be hot again next week... I don't know about you all but I do not like 90 degrees... but I guess I won't be saying that in January!
