Guess whose feeling his oats and crowing!
We've got to take a sound recording...his crowing is so weak....maybe he's being cautious and not BELTING one out! and yes, he runs for cover when Brewster's in sight!
We have some funny crowers out there too! The only one that does it right is Pretty Boy, the serama. The Belgian Quail roo only gets half way through his crow and it sounds like someone stepped on his toe because he stops suddenly! One of the silkies crows, but only for about 10 mins when he first comes out of the coop. He's really quiet and his crow doesn't sound normal either lol. The two BLRWxBlue Andalusians don't say a thing. But, they're funny, the won't be anywhere without the other! They copy each other in everything they do too! What's even funnier is how still to this day, they are afraid of every other bird out there, no matter their size!
Lots of rain here today. I can see the runs from the kitchen window and I get a kick out of seeing all the drenched birds out there!
They have a choice of two coops now and won't go in either one!
The only ones not bothered by the downpour are the ducks, even the babies when Aric put them out there long enough to clean their box. I guess I can start letting them be out there all day, but not sure if I want them in the coop all night. Aric says I worry too much. It's like sending my kids off to college though...you don't know what will happen when you're not around!!
