RaZ, what kind of sparrow was it?

Just a common English sparrow.

Just thought I'd pop on and say hi to everyone. Our internet at home is out and probably won't be back up til Wednesday. Just gotta love satellite internet in the country....
I can't wait to read the 150 pages to catch up when it gets back up.

I would, but my rooster seems to know what's up! As soon as i whip out the camera he makes a warning cluck and all heads up....

Also i got a good part of the way through beauty school, so i know some things, not others. Buuut, the fact that her hair had a lot of "yellow" in it naturally could have contributed! Anyway, my advice is to tone it down with a light brown demipermanent haircolor or you can try "oops"; the oops will take some out, (But has the risk of making her orange/pink) and the demi will gloss her hair and help tone it. i personally would go with the demi if you used permanent hair color; it is much gentler and you have more control. It will also fill in any damaged spots. I don't know if it's any consolation, but red is the hardest color to keep in, so maybe if you guys are lucky it will wash out to a non retina popping shade! Next time she dyes her hair you will have to go with a much darker shade, in a "cool" tone to tone down some of the brightness. (Myself i am light brown/ dark blond depending who you talk to, and if i try to put in highlights i go ORANGE.) Stumped even my teachers!!!

Well i for one really LOL, especially at a lot of the stuff on here! (Much to the irritation of my DH, who just can't understand why it takes so LONG to read all these posts!) If i laugh, and no one laughs with me, it could be my warped sense of humor. Sometimes you just have to look for life's little ironies; it's what gets me through it all.

I did manage to capture a his and hers fuzzybutt shot, i kinda like this one. Sweet. This is his first hen, and his favorite. She's the angry little queen of the coop, and my favorite bit of lap fuzz.

I want some lavender girls really bad.... I have never read of a successful lavender pattern, but it HAS to be possible. I want a whole flock of these color. (blue + blue = some blue, mostly black and white. Lav+Lav. = Lav) My girl has black laced with blue, so mabie i could get lucky and get a lav pattern....? have any of you tried a lav with a black and white bird?

What a beautiful looking day. The turkeys were out in force and seemed to be frustrated with not being able to locate any corn ,so I went out a little while ago and spread 50#. That should be them occupied for a couple of days. A few years back I was shocked to find my deer feeder empty. I knew I had it set so that it would only spread one pound twice each day so 100# should have lasted longer than one week. I discovered that the turkeys learnto peck the corn from the dispenser cup. I build the feed at a height that would allow ease of filling however with the turkey able to reach the cup I had to add on the the legs and then use a ladder when I need to fill it.

Can I just add my own rant here?
Seems the whole board is ranting over the "no more auctions" technicality...well I for one, HATE the auction format. I dont understand why they cant just have postings of for sale- then if someone wants them, boom- SOLD. Why do they have to have auctions?

Did I mention that I found the seller on ebay of the eggs where I hatched out my blue splash silkie...and I was ohsoexcited to bid on eggs again?

yeah, outbid.
I may bid again, but seriously- raising the price even higher than it is would be a little ridiculous.
