i've been out to feed and water and it was crazy wild wind. was going to put fresh straw down for the big ducks but figured it was going to blow all over while i was trying!

got two loaves of bread baking and there are CHOCOLATE pancakes that i made last night for breakfast today. delish.

5 pips in the bator! yeah!

Just came back inside. All my things are where they should be. My roofing contractor called and said the house they are doing for me now is still okay....nothing blown away there.

The wind blew so hard it snuffed out the fire in my corn furnace. Judy said it was getting cold in the house before she left for work....and sure enough no fire a burning. Got that remedied!

Snow....now wind and rain.....it could be worse.....we don't have any of those big poisonous snakes others have.

Always something to be thankful for.

I think ducks are a great idea....better you than me.

I do like the taste of duck though, used to shoot mallards mostly. I do have a mounted Redhead I shot a few years ago in the UP....Taxidermist did a shoddy job on it.....looks like he is on acid or something.

I am also computer illiterate.....I just stumble along.

I'm staying away from all stores that have chicks. Went Monday and bought feed and scratch so I can stay away! I got my chicks downstairs, that's enough for me!! Look who's the enabler..

I got to thinking about that pay scale....

We had 300 beef cows, we needed a minimum of 30,000 bales of hay each year. I worked on the wagon behind the baler and handled everyone of them bales. I think that comes to $300.00 at a penny a bale.....It'd have probably been a toss up, but I probably made more at hourly pay because of the amount of hours.

They all went to the movies last night and said, whatever you do DON'T tell Lauren that would suck if she came...Mrs. G was really short with me....They told everyone to talk about it in front of me and like say how fun it was and blah blah blah...but I'm in computers now ):
