OK everyone, it seems like you all have way to much fun hatching your eggs. Is it difficult to do or expensive? I've been checking on some of the equipment but I'm just not sure if I should give it a shot. Anyone have any suggestions for the newbie such as myself?

Hi Everyone. Welcome to spring........it can only get better.

Cathy - glad to hear the Serama pair is doing good, and those chicks are great! Congratulations. Where did you get the eggs from?

M2EA - Congrats on your hatches too. It's great to have new babies.

Steve - going back to 3-7 or so, unfortuneatly we never made it to Guido's. I didn't see the post before we left, or else I would have made it there for sure. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort, so we ate there almost everyday. We ventured out a few times for shopping and different tours, but I don't recall seeing the place. Oh well, maybe an excuse to go back and try it again??

You never know what might fall into my cart! Anyway, the chicks and ducks I purchased there all did well. Good luck to you!

It is a pretty chatty bunch and we all learn a lot of great stuff. Especially new recipes1:weee
Our 12 little chickies are sprouting little feathers and trying to fly up on things. Hubby says they need to go outside somehow so he can sleep.

I do just fine!!! I enjoy hearing their little chatter.
Still waiting on some more eggs to hatch. Should be any time now.
We had a surprise this morning. A little gray wren hit our window!! I rushed outside in my bare feet and brought it in. We kept fussing with it until it finally came around. Then we let it back outside where it flew away. It was so tiny.

Got to go back outside while it was still nice.

Here in Fenton it's just starting to get warmer out today. It was about 30 this morning, feels like 40 now, and is forecasted to be 20 tonight.

Just last week I was wearing short-sleeved shirts outside with no coat.

And for my welcomes, thank you! I'm happy to be here and learn from the pros.

Hi to all the new people! I joined the group recently myself and am now the proud mom of 6 week old Delawares. They are cute little girls with tons of personality. They have finally just started to understand how yummy the table scraps are that I bring out, and have decided that I'm the greatest thing they have ever seen. As of today they are even fighting over who gets to hang out on my lap. LOL!

Enjoy the group and don't forget to add yourself the the Michigan member list!
