Guineas and chickens have been know to cross but it is pretty uncommon. The result of a normal chicken and guinea cross is pretty bizarre looking. I would recommend anyone with small children not try crossing Uggos with guineas as the resulting offspring might cause nightmares of monumental proportions. I wouldn't risk it, your children might even grow up to be fowl fondlers.

Mom 2 em all- love the garden picks! I missed the before picks, but I love the pavers and fence. Where did you find the fence at?
Hillbilly hen- Wondering if I could customize dimensions on the brooder for an additional cost? I have a possible 75 chicks coming in August and I am trying to have as few BrooderI as possible so that I have to buy less feeders, waterers, and lights.... My husband has no idea how many I am getting... Trying to soften the blow.lol. I just have fallen in love with them all...and had to get a variety;)

Careful. You can't (shouldn't) reduce the number of feeders and waterers just because you have all the chicks in one big area vs divided between a few smaller areas. Competition for resources is a major catalyst for problems not just as chicks, but into their mature lives.

I know a Marian with tats. Should I ask for a picture?

Marian's tats - hmmmm...

The sun will be up in about an hour and it will be bringing lots warmth with it. So much warmth that by afternoon it is going to be down right uncomfortable. The humidity is 80% and with temps in the 90's it might be advisable to get everything done this morning and kick back this afternoon.
Humidity is low here again today but we will see what afternoon brings. You are welcome to visit here this afternoon at out pre-CS warm up Uggos swap. Maybe throw that cart in your truck???

Was that a dig?
Had I seen an Uggo before, I never would have gotten into chickens and my latent groping predilection never would have surfaced.

It's also a good idea to have a couple of extras on hand just for sanitation purposes. Swap a clean one for one that gets dirty and you can't clean it right away.

thank you!

M2 - Do you feed them sunflower seeds? Those are not cucurbitaceae seedlings, but they do look like sunflower seedlings.
I am searching the back of my brain, among the cobwebs..and I think I might have spilled the sunflower seeds for the bird feeder...
Showed these photos to DH, Conversation went like this.

Me: M2M calls them Uggos, I've been threatened with one.
DH: Well if you get one, tell her it's going to be eaten.
ME: I'd be afraid to eat it.
DH: Some people are afraid to eat guineas:
ME: But guineas are tasty.
DH: You know, a cross between a guinea and one of the Uggos could be kind of interesting, That guinea head and those bodies, would really look like a dinosaur chicken.

I would be scared of a guineahead Uggo....

I wish I could open the crates and the chickens would just go in by themselves.

Thinking of chasing them around makes me tired.

Nigellas...
If I catch Mom I am bringing her along, just in case you want her- and her Mini-Me..
If not, I will bring her back home.
