Good Afternoon!

It was been raining off and on since 6am today. Turned the channel 4 news on (Detroit area) and the weather man said no rain in Michigan at the time....I think the radar missed Livingston County!

Off to get something accomplished! Probably a nap!

Hey guys... Another cold, cloudy day here. I'm so sick of this weather. Just when we started to get summer too. Figures... JW has anyone talked to MJ lately... I called her the other day, but didn't get a chance to talk to her.

Oh my---so, so sorry to hear about all the poor turkeys!! I do think, LMC, that you are correc that the Dumor feed from TSC is non-medicated. I had oldest DD check yesterday, as our mystery pullet Princess Oscar was under the weather. PO was having bloody stools, we deduced the culprit may have been eating the exoskeletons from the box elder bugs the kids were feeding the chickens. After consulting the "Chicken Lady" as dh called MJ, we are watching her and she is getting yogurt, which PO loves.

I spoke to MJ on the phone this afternoon and she is starting to feel alot better. She was up and doing some yard work yesterday--------maybe overdid it a bit (imagine that from MJ

), but she said she is starting to feel more normal and the shingles pain is getting better. Please keep up the prayers, though, until she is 110% back to her normal, sassy self

Oh, this is good to know about the box elders - we feed our gals japenese beetles and they absolutely LOVE them - We haven't had an issue, but between the 20 something of them they probably only get 1 or 2 that I've harvested from the plants - Thansk! nancy

Oh good to hear! I just think the world of her and when I heard that she wasn't feeling well, it made me worried. I'm glad someone has talked to her and that she's feeling better. MJ always seems like she is over exherting herself.

Question:

We have 2 hens w/3 chicks each that we've had separated from the rest of the flock (30). They're tearing up the yard and we'd like some advice on WHEN we can introduce them to the rest of the flock - they are bantams - the rest of the flock are NOT - they are 5 wks old - thanks for sharing your experience! BTW, they have full view of the remainder of the flock, so they are not strangers.....thanks!

Me and my family were at MJ's on Saturday afternoon. She was up and about and showed the kids all the chickens, turkeys and ducks they wanted to see. She did say due to being sick she was behind on all the outside and inside chores and was trying to catch up before it all got to be to much to do.

Oh, my. I was that last person to post last night and the first person to say good morning. Everyone must of had a busy weekend. I know we did. Got 80 qt. bags of sweetcorn into the freezer and changed some rooms around in the house.
