I live in central michigan , this year is my first year with chickens and ducks, I have a aracauna rooster 2 aracauna hens one australorp hen (who I love very much!) 2 ducks that are mixed breed. I am trying to hatch more chicken eggs, a pekin duck eggs and royal palm turkey eggs at the moment.

I just love how more and more people are joining this thread. Welcome A2SciTeach, Mac & Cheese you will like it here.
BayCityBabe, again it was nice to meet you. Thanks by the way for the water. I'm sure that the girls appreciated it as well. With the addition of the Sussex, my flock is certainly colorful. I think I'm going to start call it a true "rainbow coalition".

I can think of a thing or two, but that would require logging on to a different kind of forum.

Welcome all the new folks!

We are home from Frankenmuth finally yeah!!! It was a nice vacation with the family, but the kids never sleep well. So bed time is early tonight!

The kids did really well showing their birds. My youngest daughter got 2nd in showmanship age 6-8. The judge had to ask 8 tiebreaker questions!

We sold our 2 roosters and came home with one white call duck. The girls are enjoying her and I will have to drag them in tonight. The best thing out of the duck is we are getting rid of the hamsters! I think this was an excellent deal!!!!

I am off to start dinner and swap the laundry.

Nice to meet a couple BYC folks. I didn't start looking for opa til later....I probably walked right past you! And the stroller wasn't there til later when hubby brought the boys over from the hotel.

I have been called everything a man can be called except twice to eat. Today's been a busy day. I've been working on chicken coops most of the day and then some people stop to ask about having one built for them. No rest for the weary!

Hi and welcome rockshar! Where in Lansing do you live?? There's a TSC on Saginaw. By the new Walmart and Lowe's and Michael's and etc etc etc are!! Another one on Grand River where the old Quality Farm and Fleet was. I don't know if chickens are allowed in Lansing, tho. Guess it all depends on where you live in Lansing. Hope you can have chickens, cuz they are so much fun.
Welcome, Mac n Cheese!

Well it looks like everyone had fun and made it back home safe and sound. I wish I could have been there too.

Welcome to all the new folks! Glad you could join us!

Miss Jayne, what are you going to do with all those ducks? Your getting to be quite the collector over there girl!

I joined in March of '07 and was 600 and something! The growth of this site just blows me away. I always thought that Texas was are main competition in numbers. Have to check out the Okies.
I went to the Fowl Fest and was a little disappointed in the sale section. I was on a mission for Chickflick, looking for a very docile, cute, sweet bantam to pair with her bantam Polish. Did'nt find anything, well, I take that back, found lots in the show section!! There was a little red Cochin frizzle that stole me heart!!
For myself the Brahma pullets caught my eye but no more room in the coop

Did'nt see any other BYCer's, probably walked right past them, but had my eyes on the birds so I probably did'nt even notice.
