I am originally from Kalkaska, up near Traverse City. We lived in the snow belt and would get tons of snow, often more than the U.P. I moved here in June of 1996! I remember standing outside waiting for the bus and the your nose hairs would all freeze! Didn't think kids really had nose hair but evidently they do. That is what I felt like this morning!
My girls all got hot mash for breakfast, my bunnies all got warm water and I had to bring one in, she had ice balls hanging off her nose from condensation and she has to use a water bottle due to long ears (english lop) because if her ears get wet in the bowl they will freeze to the cage. So she couldn't breathe well enough to drink out of her water bottle this morning. So in she came. Everyone else seemed dandy, my one goat was funny, her mouth was covered in frost, and she looked at me with her lip up showing her teeth like she was saying "WOW, it is really cold out here!"
