Miss-Jayne, when I come to visit bringing welsummer eggs and Micheles nestbox I will be wearing very dark glasses with blinders. Hopefully they will prevent my eyes from being exposed to chick possession virus. It is a well known fact that looking at newly hatched chicks sends information to ones mouth, completely bypassing the brain. Those so affected hear their mouth uttering things like "I need some of those chicks" or "I know I can make room for just a few more".

I am sad to say I had no idea how virulent it is to visit MJ's feathered kingdom.

I must have been a fertile breeding ground for the virus, as I am now hinting at husband that I NEED a chicken coop and I have also passed the disease onto my friend Melissa. I told her to talk to MJ about the chickens, and after only a phone conversation with MJ she is eagerly planning her own trip over there to be fully converted!!!

oh my gosh! y'all are acting like i get you hooked on purpose or something! me? i would NEVER do something like that?!?!

okay. it's time to tell the truth and be fully honest. i have chickenitis. it makes me feel less ashamed when i drag you all down with me.

but, it's mostly Derek's fault. or Michelle's. maybe Cathy's. or Gloria's. definitely Melissa's. a little bit Laura's and some Lauren's. Ellen had her hand in it. Steve poisoned me over the phone as well as Ranchhand, Sam, Rockshar and shadyglade. LoveMyChicklets amped up the disease too. and there are more. you've all driven me to chick-sanity!

Ugggghhhh - we went to Menards tonight to look at kitchen cabinets. We are almost ready for them. I want out of Lansing soooooooooo bad!! We are only a few miles from the Traditions Townhouses where one of the murders took place. I don't think they found the killer yet. The kids are on house arrest. They cannot go outside unless we are with them. When we were coming back from Menards tonight, a group of at least 50 people were at the Traditons townhouses. It was scary. I hope they were doing some type of memorial and not getting ready for justice.

My fault? MJ has something great going on over there in Columbiaville. If it wasn't for her, half of us wouldn't be feeding this addiction nearly as much. It's not a bad thing, don't get me wrong. If I had more land and further neighbors I would be very tempted to take basketfulls of chicks, hens, ducks, turkeys, or whatever I could when visiting MJ. I'm sure the kids would have very large pockets when leaving also.

MJ - I've got one of your meaties thawing for tomorrow. Any favorite recipes or tips for cooking it up?
