I do have to say though...chickflick has the cutest showgirl silkie ever! She's just a little darling fluff of adorableness.

But yet I, like you, cannot bring myself to own one. Something about that bare neck just kinda bothers me...I feel a draft even if I see a pic of one.

Hi All!!!

What a cold and nasty day. Tomorrow we will be heading to Branson and I will not be able to check in on everyone until then.

My oldest and youngest sons live only about 40 miles from Branson and I don't think they would like for anyone to bring them any snow. However, if you can find someway to take our snow to them it would be okay with me.

Well, my 1 yr old little cowgirl was here today and we thought that she had gotten the worst of her allergic reaction to her antibiotics....we were wrong. She is in the ER with her mom right now. I called here mom this afternoon to come and get her, she was in a lot of pain and her face and hands were swolllen. Her mom took her home and she got worse. I am sure she will be ok, but prayers would be great. I love her so much, it broke my heart to see her hurt that much.

I sure hope she gets through it all sooner than later... it's always the worst when little ones are not feeling well...

I processed my meaties today and did my first plucking. It went ok... could have been better.... but it could have been worse! LOL Thank goodness there were only 2

They will certainly be missed by the other chicks that were certain that they were big giant hens to sit under!

Thanks for all the prayers, you guys rock. I haven't heard anything more. Cell phones and hospitals aren't a great mix. She is a tough little cookie and I am sure she will be up and running soon. Thanks again for all the prayers.

Good Evening!

Praying for the little cowgirl, allergic reactions are not fun.

Had a busy day, seemed to be running late all day! The alarm didn't go off so I was late to exersice. Seemed the whole day went that way!

Had homeschool classes in Brighton, late to that too.

4-H was tonight. I would of been late if it wasn't at my house!LOL Lots of fun. We baked 6 types of muffins. The 5-8 year olds (cloverbuds) are only allowed to do mixes so they mixed up chocolate chip, apple cinnamon, and blueberry. The 9 and up group made the same thing only from scratch. We then had a taste test and they had to guess what flavor and if it was a mix or from scratch.
They guessed pretty good. The crowd favorite was apple cinnamon from scratch. Second was the chocolate chip from scratch.

Off to let the dog out one last time. The off to bed. My one day to sleep in!

Prayers for the little cowgirl. With all the support here I know she'll be fine.

My little man is still a little feverish and coughing bad right now. He was a trooper tonight though. I took both kids to a local hockey game and he got to go on the ice to pick up pucks between periods. That made it all worthwhile, he got to keep a puck and he is holding it in bed right now.

Shelly, not trying to enable or anything, just showing off a hen(well, maybe a little) It's good that I don't have lots of land or I'd have more chickens than I can keep track off. I had always wanted a Cochin and never had frizzle, so when I called Dave we had to go check it out. Hopefully he still has some nice birds. Shelly, if you can produce a "Big Bird", put me on the list.

What is up with the weather? Yesterday was so nice, and today it went downhill fast. And I hear a nasty "S" word for next week? Here we go again......
