Hi All!
frow.gif

I had to share a picture of the rooster I got from HillBillyHen! He's such a handsome boy, but very naughty! He gives me the evil eye now and I went to pick him up and he grabbed hold of my pant leg! LOL I like them fiesty though...good way to know he'll fight off anything that messes with his girls!

My hens are starting to lay more but I'm still on the look-out for some nice BR laying hens that are producing well.
Anyways...this is Frank the Tank giving me the evil eye

A little tid bit I thought I would share with you all.

I took my Cutler catalog with me to TSC and they priced matched Cutlers prices.

The one girl said "oh I dont think we can from them" I said how come, your website says they will price match any store. So they called Corp and yes, if you have a catalog or flyer they will price match any store anywhere.

I use black walnut hull on everyone here

yep. me too. free out of the yard! my chickens and everyone else, eat the maggots that eat the black walnuts. and we use DE also.

and yes, i know a lot of people that worm their kids. but with natural methods. people used to say when your kids got squirelly, it was time for wormin'!

MJ, can you tell me how you use the DE? I do sprinkle some around in the coop, but that's all - thanks!

Wow, very chatty today.

A big BYC welcome to the new guys.

We will be doing the back to school shopping tomorrow. We do what we can afford and the name brand stuff is not it. If they want name brand priced stuff they have to save their own money and pay the differance. OMG!!! I just sounded like my mother!!!

But it does work for us. My younger two are like that's ok as long as it looks cool. My 17 year old step-son won't wear anything we get. Even the name brand second hand stuff. He thinks it has to be new.

Tell me about it, we have three (no boys). Our oldest is 11 and my husband just may move to the barn when they all hit teendom.

He may need to sit down and start talking to someone now or he will not make it. There is no medication that can help either so just let him know that. If they start cheerleading they will be hooked get them playing a different sport. I love watching my daughter do her competitive cheerleading but the drama oh my gosh, can you tell me whatever.....help!!!!!!!

I think the girl thing is kinda funny. Me, I am very happy we have all boys. My husband REALLY wanted a girl. Now that we see what are friends with girls are going through he has finally relized no girls is ok.

I am with all you goodwill shoppers!!!

I also LOVE JCPenny's clearance sales. I get all I can then. Last year they were desperate to get rid of summer stuff and I was getting shorts, capris and shirts for $1.00 each!!

When I take my 3 girls to the mall they know that whats in the windows stay there and if they walk into the store they start checking out the clearance racks. We are a major clearance shopping family! My 17 year old girl has fits when she finds a shirt and they want more that $7.00 for it. She says they are trying to rip her off!!!

I think I raised that one right.

Oh and jeans better be $15 or under.

Oops I think I missed a page when I originally posted this!

I have black walnut trees and should I just pick up the drops and toss them in with the girls?? Or do I have to hull them and just put those in there?

My husband built a barn 'man cave' when daughter #3 was born. It is 4 times the size of the house. And yes, he lives out there most of the time

he does come in for food! Hubby does quite a bit of work out there and works on his race cars.
