My husband cuts wood all winter long...he doesn't like to stockpile it, I would like it if he did though!

Sad day here. One of my Isa hens this afternoon was in the nest box longer than usual and making some very odd sounds for her. I thought maybe egg bound so I put her on a heat pad in a dog crate where she seems very comfortable. Well about an hour later, she died.

She was free range'n all day yesterday and was very perky. Jumped up on my lap. She had no runny eyes, or smell about her in the least. She's been very healthy. I did notice tho yesterday she seemed to be limping just a tad bit but didnt seem to affect her to move around or eat.

Does this sound like egg bound to anyone?
